Stepwise Guide to Getting the Benefits from using Neptune Products


SUMMARY of what to do with ENGINES:
  • Flush the engine oil, when HOT, with DeSLUDGE

Now for the details:
DIRTY ENGINES with THICK BLACK OIL:

Bring the engine to FULL operating temperature .. HOT OIL.  This is best done with the engine under load, not idled up.

CAUTION .. because DeSLUDGE is so efficient at releasing sludges from internal engine components, it is quite common to release 2-3 litres of extra volume when DeSLUDGE is first used in dirty diesel engines .. ensure your used oil catch container is large enough !!

Drain dirty HOT oil, then add replacement oil plus DeSLUDGE at 12.5ml / litre.  Replacement oil can be less than top quality oil, because it will be discarded.

Run HOT engine with replacement oil containing DeSLUDGE at a fast idle for 20-30 minutes.

Drain the HOT replacement oil containing DeSLUDGE and sludges.

Replace the oil filter and refill the engine with clean high quality oil, of a grade recommended for your engine.

Add SupaSLIP anti-friction at 5ml/ litre of engine oil.

Add FTC catalytic decarboniser at 2ml/ litre of fuel (1:500) at each fill-up for the 1st 40 hours or more.  Then add FTC at 1ml/ litre of fuel (1:1000) at each fill-up.  If FTC is always in the fuel, add 2ml per 3 litres of fuel (1:1500).

NOTES:
1) ROUTINE Engine Oil Changes:
Before changing the engine oil, add DeSLUDGE at the lower dose of 2.5ml / litre of HOT engine oil.
Drive normally for ½ to 1 hour before changing the oil, keeping engine at full operating temperature .. HOT oil.
Drain HOT oil containing DeSLUDGE and sludges.
Replace oil filter and refill engine with clean high quality oil, add SupaSLIP at 5ml / litre of engine oil.

2) REGULAR USES:
Aim to always use FTC combustion catalyst and decarboniser in your fuel.  Regular FTC use ensures you get the maximum benefits including engine longevity, because FTC removes carbon which otherwise wears components.
Always add replacement SupaSLIP to oils and hydraulic fluids (except brakes) at every change.

Hulls, Decks, Sails, Stainless Steel
Simply apply undiluted product with a rag, soft nylon brush or sponge onto rust-stained surfaces .. leave 2-5 minutes while stains disappear .. wash off thoroughly with fresh or salt water. Note: Thoroughly wash dark coloured surfaces within 5 minutes of application.

Heavily stained areas, such as "rust spots" on sails and "rust runs" from stainless steel fittings, may require repeat treatments, or more than a few minutes to remove the rust stain. NEPTUNE Rust Stain Remover works best when surfaces remain wet, or damp during the treatment period, therefore it is best to avoid fast drying conditions.

Decks & other TEAK can be cleaned and brightened with undiluted product. Simply pre-wet the teak .. broom on the product .. leave a few minutes .. then scrub off with water.
